Equipment Status

UPDATE - Discussion on AB6VS - Austin concerned about feed line and hooked up a small mag mount. He requested the feed line be pulled down - David needs to go to pull down the feed line. Charlie reported - Not using PGE power- for the past two months the

UPDATE - Discussion on AE6KE- Power has been turned off to property. Repeater is in the shop. When voltage was down the repeater gets stuck in transmit. Otherwise, no issues with repeaters. Emergency portable repeater is running at N2RDT's - lent by CAP for coverage of Skyland Run.

PLEASE NOTE - new property owner will allow the repeater to stay in place. George supplied a protocol. If you need to go to the site you MUST contact the property owner first. Please follow protocol.

Old Business:

SKYLAND RUN - AE6KE went down the week before Skyland Run. The county (CAP) has lent the portable repeater for the time. Thank you to Kathi-KI6POY, Gary-K6PDL, Cap-AE6KFE and David-N2RDT for all the help on site. Thank you to Austin-AB6VU, Alex-K6TYG, and Kevin KT6EOO for monitoring if needed. Team was able to supply supports

The LPARC will staff the Skyland Run for communications/radio help again this year. The date is Saturday July 14, 2012. There will be at least 3 positions manned.

David, Kathi, and Bert are confirmed volunteers at this time. Please be at the site NO LATER than 08:00AM. Kathi will be at the 10K. :-)

David has put together the Communications Plan for the Skyland Run.

New business:

LPARC will have a table at Mountain Resident Night out - Tuesday August 7, 2012 at the Loma Prieta Gazebo. N2RDT and N2RDU to set up and be there.

A discussion took place about how repeaters and different things new operators should know.

Training:

No Training for this evening.

Need Volunteers:

Looking for a liaison to the Santa Cruz County and

Santa Clara County Emergency Coordinator.

Looking for an ARES Coordinator.

Still need an EC for group..... Anyone????
